The Goodbye Mailbox Photocast

Earlier this week Apple released their latest version of iLife and has coined the term Photocasting. What is a photocast? It's basically a way to share pictures over the internet with anyone who would be interested. I load the pictures I want to share into a special folder in my iPhoto Library and it automatically uploads it to the internet. You can subscribe for free to my Photocast and you will be notified anytime I add a new picture to the Photocast.

The Goodbye Mailbox Photocast is a collection of current pictures I have taken that I like for whatever reason. Feel free to download the images and use them for whatever you want. If you use them for anything commercial or personal, link me to it so that I can take a look.

NOTE: This is not a Mac-only feature, however if you have a Mac with the latest version of iPhoto, it will be a one step process. All you need to do is click on this link and iPhoto will automatically download the images to a special album in your library. Everyone else, which I will imagine will be the majority of people, only need an RSS compatible browser or an RSS reader. That particular one is for Firefox. It's super easy and works great. If you are using IE, then you might want to try this one. I am not sure how it works.

Dammit! I’m on 10.3.9 still, so I can’t see these. I need to do some serious upgrades on this bad boy.

Hey man I just googled “Photocast” and found your blog and the link to your photocast. I just got iLife ’06 and yours is the first photocast I subscribed to. Some really impressive photos there! I am just not willing to pay a hundred bucks a year for dot-Mac; I used to have it but it was pretty much useless for 100 bucks. Anyway just wanted to say hi and your photos are amazing.

Got something to say? Go for it!
