Hello from Osaka! I am typing on a Japanese keyboard at the hostel that mike and I are staying at in Osaka and it is really messing me up because some of the keys are in different spots, namingly the backspace. It also doesn’t help that the screen shuts off for about 5 seconds every minute or so. Anyways, Japan is a lot of fun. I have been taking a bunch of pictures, maybe not as many as when I went to New York, but the trip is still young. I wish there was a way I could post some on here, but that will have to wait until later i guess. We can\t check into our hostel for another thirty minutes or so, so I thought I would check my email on here, but for some reason I can’t log in so I decided to update my blog.
Yesterday in Shibuya was awesome. We got there in the morning and went shopping in the many department stores through out the city. There are so many cool things that I wanted to buy but I restrained myself since I didn’t want to carry a bunch of things around with me while we traveled the south west portions of Japan. But don’t you worry, I plan on spending every last yen I have in Tokyo when we get back, that is if we have any left. Last night was a big Yen drainer for me. Melissa, Mike and I met up with Brent and a bunch of his friends and we went to the Karaoke bar that they went to in Lost in Translation. The place was multiple levels high in the top floors of a 10 story building. We just so happened to get the same level that the movie was shot in, and we also got the same exact room that they were in in the movie. How crazy is that!? There was plenty of Bon Jovi, GNFR, and Kelly Clarkson to fill the room for a couple of hours. After we got the bill for the room and the alcohol, we realized that we also followed in the movie’s footsteps by competing with their budget. The tab was over 100000 yen which roughly equates to about $1000. Was it worth it? Hell yeah. Mike and Kyle busted out some amazing freestlyes, the drinks were good, we shook the building with our group “Living on a Prayer” performance, and it was in the same room Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansen were in for the movie.
We later went to a club that went until 5 in the morning. Instead of staying there with the rest of the gang, I decided to skip out and wander the city. Shibuya never sleeps. Most stores and eateries were open to 4 in the morning and there were loads of people walking around until the sun came up. It is crazy.
OK, I think we can go check in so I am going to take off. I will try to update you guys more when I get some extra time. I am really tired right now since I only got the three hours of sleep on the train from Shibuya to Osaka so forgive me if anything above doesn’t make sense.
I miss you guys, and I can’t wait to tell you more about our trip. Until next time.

Oh how much fun! I wish I were there. Start planning your next trip…we’re going! I miss you so much. Have a blast and come home soon.

I think $1000 is worth it. Wish i was there. Hopefully you have pics of you in that room. Have some more fun! Cant wait to hear about it all.
Sounds awesome! Very jealous! 2 of the checklist items at The Station have been taken care of. Colter ate his weight in Lucky Charms and Dan choked to death… or that’s what someone wants me to believe. Zack X’s party went off pretty rad as there was a draw bridge built out of wood that you had to walk over to get into Irv’s house. I don’t think anyone got any pictures unfortunately.
