It’s Arrested Development

It's a sad day in television history. Arrested Development has show what could be it's final four episodes ever. Oh, but what a wonderful finale it was. In the wake of this show's run on FOX, my friends and I gathered 'round my parent's HDTV to see the show off in the only way we saw fit: a themed dinner party. Well it wasn't so much a party as it was a get-together, and it wasn't so much dinner as it was $12 worth of mostly inedible food.

There was a bowl of Candy Beans sans any fake eyebrows.

Koo Koo Ka Cha fingers, a reference to a joke that I was hoping would be brought up again in one of the final four episodes but I was let down.

MayonEGGs. We didn't have mayonnaise packets, but a bowl of mayo accomplished the same goal. My mom insisted on calling the deformed egg in the very front, Buster.

There was a steaming pot of Hot Ham Water that only Colter and I were dumb enough to try. Indeed, it tasted like water with a smack of ham.

We were going to have Chocolate Covered Frozen Bluth Bananas, but the chocolate we had was not suitable for frozen fruit let alone suitable to eat at all. After 30 minutes worth of 30 second microwaves/stirs, it smelt like Big Foot's dick.

And finally, what Arrested Development Party would be complete without Corn Balls. Let it be known that these were the only things worth eating in the prefix. There were also some cupcakes baked inside ice cream cones that were laced with Teamocil compliments of Robin and Natali. It is sad to see the Bluth Family go, but with any luck, a network without their heads up their asses will pick up what is probably television's most clever and well-written comedies, Arrested Development.

I’ve never laughed so hard. Thanks to your parents for the HDTV. Thanks to Natali for the cupcakes in a cone and thanks to you for the hot ham water…I was starving. Best party ever. Lets do it again when they come to their senses and decide to order up more shows. What do you say? I’m craving some mayoneggs.

right … so i don’t know you, but i was doing a search for “watery with a smack of ham” for an appropriate photo to post on a friend’s page when i came across your sight.

i must say that an AD themed dinner party might be the BEST idea i have EVER heard! i’m going to have to gather my pals ’round and throw one myself.

and thanks for the FANTASTIC pictures! ha!
