Cut Copy at the Palladium in Hollywood.

10:11:11 – Cuirious George

Morgan made this awesome costume for The Bruery’s bottle costume contest.

10:10:11 – Navy Pier

I had some time to kill before heading to the airport so I walked over to Navy Pier because I heard some other people at our hotel talking about it. It sucked. don’t go there.

10:09:11 – Apple Store Memorial

A fairly large showing of love and respect for the late Steve Jobs.

10:08:11 – Occupy Chicago March

The 99% was marching on the streets of Chicago. From what I could tell, everyone was being peaceful, both protestors and police officers.

10:07:11 – Chicago River

This was the view from our room at Hotel 71 in Chicago. I would highly recommend staying here: free wifi, super comfortable beds, large airy rooms, and a great central location with easy access to all sorts of restaurants, bars, and sights.

10:06:11 – Digital Desk

This is a still frame from an animated intro I am making for work. I removed some key elements and text and replaced it with a photo of Robocop.

10:05:11 – Not Too Bad

I worked at the Apple Store back in 2005. It was one of those rare jobs where you didn’t dread going into work every day. During my employment there, Jobs would occasionally send out mass emails to all the employees of the Apple company. This is the only one I ever ended up forwarding back to my personal email address since I knew I wasn’t going to have my @apple.com address forever. While it’s not an email directly to me, I found it kinda cool that I got an email from Steve Jobs. This one was a forwarded email about Apple being voted the most innovative company in the world.

I can directly link back several ways how Steve Jobs has made my life better on a daily basis. He was a true genius and innovator. May he rest in peace.

Post Script: while searching through my old Apple emails, I found an email from the stock purchasing program I was enrolled in while working there. It was a receipt showing that my purchase price for AAPL was $26.84 a share for 13 shares. That represents a 1400% return on that stock that I purchased. Too bad I was limited based on the number of hours I worked or I probably could have done some serious damage.

10:04:11 – Robocop Bar

Just a frame from something I was working on today, but I changed the text to Robocop.
