The West Coast is the Best Coast. I went to the Best Coast and Wavves show with some friends at the Henry Fonda in Hollywood. Yeah, that’s right, two shows in two nights; that’s just how I roll. We missed Hunx & His Punx because we were still at the bar next door, but I’ve heard them on Sirius XM U and they sound kinda of like lo-fi rockin’ oldies/punk music.
A few things I learned:
- Best Coast and Wavves are 3-piece bands
- Best Coast doesn’t have a bassist
- Bethany from the Best Coast has a father that can blow your hair back with the drums (and he did)
- The older I get, the more my feet hurt by the end of the show
